Asia Argento and Ashton Whitty

Ashton Blaise Whitty is an American actress, born in Berkeley on the 1st October 1995. She is an actor, famous as the actress behind Choices (2010), The Heart and Other Small Shapes (2006) as well as Chrissie Mayr's Content House

Asia Argento was born in Rome, Italy, into an extended family of actors and filmmakers. Both professions she has herself been pursuing. Sogni e bisogni, directed by Sergio Citti and starring Asia Argento, at nine, was her very first film. She played the lead as Cristina Comencini in her first film Zoo in 1988. Michele Soavi directed The Church 1989. Red Wood Pigeon, directed by Moretti in 1989, featured her character as Nanni Moretti's little daughter. Close Friends (1992), written and directed by Michele Placido was the film that really launched Asia's professional path. It was her first time moving from roles of a young girl to complex and mature roles. The film was a hit in the Cannes International Film Festival. Trauma was her first film made by her father. Her mother Daria Nicoledi, is Argento's favorite actor. in Trauma she played an orexic looking for the murderer of her parents. The Phantom of the Opera is the third film she's co-produced with her father, the other two being Trauma and The Stendhal SyndromeAsia's intense, aggressive style of acting was well-used in Giuseppe Piccioni's Condannato a Nozze in 1993. co-starred in Carlo Verdone's Perdiamoci di vista where she portrayed Arianna, a physically disabled girl. This was an intricate and difficult part that earned she the David di Donatello award for the best actress . Patrice Chereau directed Queen Margot and she also had the role of an physically handicapped girl in that film. In 1995 she worked with Michel Piccoli in Peter Del Monte's Traveling Companion , which again earned her a David diDonatello and a Grolla d'oro. Asia began directing short films in the year 1994. Two of them were made: Prospettive, 1996, she produced a documentary on her father; and Abel/Asia in 1998, about the famous film director Abel Ferrara. This latter was recognized at the Rome Film Festival. In 1999 Asia began her film-directing career with Scarlet Diva (2000), where she played the main actress and writer of the screenplay. In May 2000, the film premiered in Italy and across the world. This film was awarded during the Williamsburg Festival of Brooklyn, New York. Anna Lou, her first child, was born in 2001. She had directed several music videos. The actress starred alongside Jean-Marc Barre as Jean-Marc Barr in The Red Siren, directed by Olivier Megaton. In 2003 she appeared with Vin Diesel and Rob Cohen's action-thriller. Asia also wrote some short stories which have been published by a number of magazines.
